Image composition
The way to a good picture
I’ve often heard the comment – you’ve got good equipment, so your pictures must be better than mine. Unfortunately, many people fall victim to this fallacy. It’s not the camera that makes the picture, but the person behind it. Have you ever asked yourself what makes a good picture for you?
In my workshop I would like to teach you the basics of good image composition. In a theoretical part, you will first learn the most important design tools. I will show you how you can consciously train your eye for a good image.
Image composition leaves a lot of freedom and is often dependent on taste. That’s why I don’t like to talk about rules, but rather about design tools that you can work with.
In a second part, we will discuss the pictures you have brought with you and see which design patterns we can recognise.
In the third part of the workshop, we set off to Lake Hallwil and go in search of motifs. Afterwards, we will discuss some of the pictures we have taken again in the course room.
