About me
My name is Rolf Gemperle, and I was born in 1965. When I received my first camera at the age of 16, I had no idea that photography would accompany me throughout all my life. During a world trip that I took at the age of 20, I realized how well my love for orienteering and nature complimented my passion for photography.
As a result of several extensive trips through the USA, my first multimedia show, «Faces of Nature,» was created in 2003. Around 5,000 spectators were captivated by my carefully crafted presentation. In 2005, I followed this pass with my second multimedia project, «Cycling Adventures in Australia.»
At the same time, I began sharing my photographic knowledge through tours and workshops. Over the years, this passion has evolved into my main profession. I now offer a wide variety of photo tours to destinations around the world.
As a dedicated nature and landscape photographer, I am always looking for special moments. I am fascinated by variations in light, shape, and color, as well as extraordinary situations involving both humans and animals.
Among my favorite travel destinations are the remote desert areas of North Africa and the monumental landscapes of the American Southwest.
In recent years, I have also explored European destinations through my photography. I am captivated by stunning landscapes, such as the waterfalls of Plitvice Lakes or the bizarre tree landscapes of Madeira. A massive eruption at the Stromboli volcano or the spectacular movements of the Northern Lights in the Scandinavian winter sky never fail to fascinate me.
I now invite you to browse through my portfolios. I hope you enjoy the images and that you will visit my website regularly.
