Engadin – Golden Autumn
Available for individual booking

The Engadin is very popular with photographers in autumn. The “Indian Summer” reaches its peak in mid-October. It transforms the larch forests into a golden sea of colors. An impressive mountain world with blue lakes and crystal-clear streams gives the necessary contrast to the backdrop.

In our landscape photography workshop, we will visit the highlights of this beautiful region. But lesser-known photo spots are also part of our program.

Let yourself be enchanted by the autumnal Engadin and enjoy the magic of this unique landscape.

Day 1
  • The arrival in St. Moritz is individual. We meet at 12:30 PM at the hotel. After a brief introduction, we head to Lake Sils, where we photograph the golden larch forests in the afternoon sun. We explore various photo spots until dusk. In the evening, we reflect on the day over a shared dinner and prepare for the days ahead.
Day 2
  • Today we start early. After breakfast at the hotel, we head to Lake Staz for sunrise. This small lake is located not far from St. Moritz, nestled in the Stazer Forest. With a bit of luck, we’ll witness fog drifting over the lake, giving the scene a mystical touch. From Lake Staz, we start our excursion to the upper Puschlav. From the parking lot in Sfazu, we take a minibus along a dirt road to Val da Camp. There, we find Lake Saoseo, one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in Switzerland. After a short walk, we reach the deep blue lake, nestled in a golden larch forest. In the late afternoon, we return to Sfazu by bus. On our way back to St. Moritz, we may visit another photo spot, depending on the weather and time.
Day 3
  • Today we drive to Lake Palpuogna for the sunrise. When there is no wind, the trees and the snow-covered mountains are reflected in the lake, creating wonderful photo opportunities. We warm up again at the hotel with a late breakfast.
In the afternoon we go to the Morteratschtal. The larches appear like gold in the light backlight. The imposing mountains with the glacier in the foreground offer more fantastic photo opportunities.
Day 4
Day 5
  • Depending on the weather, we will revisit a previously visited location for the last sunrise of the week. We will conclude the workshop around noon in St. Moritz.

Depending on the weather or other conditions, the specific photo locations may be swapped. The workshop leader reserves the right to make adjustments.
