Epic Landscapes on the Green Island
Available for individual booking
Ireland’s south is rightly referred to as the island’s landscape pearl. With its steep rocky cliffs in the west and the fjord-like bays in the southwest, this landscape is partly reminiscent of Norway.
Since Harry Potter’s Half-Blood Prince was filmed, the Cliffs of Moher on the west coast of Ireland have become the place that attracts the most visitors to Ireland. From a photographic point of view, the 150 meter high rock faces are a treat, especially at sunset.
In the very southwest of the island, moors, cliffs and green hills characterize the landscape. The Ring of Kerry, a 180 km long coastal road, opens up this landscape to us.
More than 200 wrecks – from proud windjammers to tiny fishing boats – are said to lie aground at Mizen Head on the peninsula of the same name. Today this wildly romantic peninsula is one of the most remote regions in Ireland.
As on the entire island, constantly changing weather and lighting conditions in the southern part make for interesting photo opportunities. We have our fixed points on the trip, but we also take the freedom to make weather-related adjustments.
