Videos

On my photography trips, filming has become an increasingly important part. Today’s DSLR and mirrorless cameras already allow for incredible shots in the highest quality. For spectacular aerial footage, I mostly use small drones.
Here I would like to show you a selection of videos that were created on my photo tours or my photo expeditions.

Winter Photo Expedition in Yakutia
Winter photo expedition to the rock formations of Ulachen-Sys. The area, located in the northeastern part of Russia, belongs to the Sakha region, the largest Russian region, and remains completely unexplored. From Yakutsk, we took an Antonov aircraft on a 3-hour flight to Belaja Gora, situated on the Indigirka River. This small settlement at the Arctic Circle served as the starting point for our expedition. From there, we traveled 250 kilometers into the Russian Taiga by minibus and snowmobiles to reach the spectacular rock formations.
My latest video showcases the beauty of this unique landscape. Let yourself be transported for three minutes and enjoy a fascinating winter world in the far east of Russia.
Engadin Photo Workshop
Here you can find impressions of the photo workshop in the Engadine in autumn 2021. Many thanks to the motivated workshop group and to Florian and Joel from cmf visual. You did a great job and it was fun.
Manpupuner Winter Photo Expedition
The Manpupuner rock formations on the western edge of the Ural Mountains were the focus of our winter photo expedition in February 2019.
Imagine seven stone pillars 30 to 42m high on a high plateau. This magical place with its human-like rock formations has always captivated people. For a few years now, the area, which is one of the «Seven Wonders of Russia», has been under the patronage of the Pechoro-Ilychsky Reserve. Visiting this area in winter is a difficult undertaking due to Russian bureaucracy and, above all, its remoteness. The nearest settlement is more than 200km away and the rock formations can only be reached by snowmobile or on foot. Taking photos in the middle of these rocky and covered with snow and ice colossuses, made the arduous journey worthwhile.
Photo Tour to Algeria
Our photography trip to Algeria included some of the most beautiful scenery in the Central Sahara. Vast dune fields, spectacular rock formations, and giant mesa landscapes awaited us.
The focus of our photography journey in the Central Sahara was the southern part of the Tadrart Mountains in Algeria. With its red dunes and countless rock arches, this area is one of the gems of the Sahara.
Photo Tour to Bears in Finland
During a photography trip to Southern Lapland for the Indian Summer, an interesting short video was created. It shows two bears testing their strength in a brief wrestling match.
